Tax Display
Tax Display allows you to show prices with tax (tax-inclusive), without tax (tax-exclusive), or both across your Shopify storefront based on who is shopping and where they are located.
Key Capabilities
Target Specific Customers: Create rules for all customers, customers with specific tags (e.g.,
wholesale,vip), or specific customer emails.Flexible Display Modes: Display tax-inclusive price only, tax-exclusive price only, or both prices side-by-side with customizable labels and primary highlight options.
Specific Page Locations: Choose where tax display rules apply (Home page, Product pages, Collection pages, Cart page, or Search results).
Product Targeting: Apply rules to all products or select specific products and collections.
How to Set Up Tax Display Rules
Step 1: Create a new rule
In your B2Bridge VAT/Tax Exemption & Display admin, go to Tax display in the left navigation (or Tax display setup button in dashboard).

Click Create your first display rule

Step 2: Configure General Info & Priority
Rule Name: Enter a clear, descriptive name for internal reference (e.g., EU B2B Tax Rule or Wholesale Tax Excluded).
Priority: Set the priority level for this rule using numbers (
0,1,2...).Status: Select the Rule enabled checkbox to make the rule active once saved.

Note: Lower numbers take precedence (e.g., priority 0 runs before priority 1).
Step 3: Select Target Audience (Who sees it)
Choose which store visitors will see prices modified by this rule:
All customers: Applies to every visitor on your store.

Customers with specific tags: Enter specific customer tags (e.g.,
b2b,wholesale). Only logged-in customers with these tags will see this pricing format.

Specific customer emails: Search and pick specific customer accounts.

Step 4: Select Products (Which products)
Define which catalog items follow this tax display rule:
All products: Applies the rule across your entire store catalog.
Specific products / Collections: Choose specific products or collections to limit where this rule takes effect.

Step 5: Configure Pricing Format (How prices show)
Customize how the prices are calculated and presented to your shoppers:
Display mode:
Both prices (incl. + excl. tax): Displays both the tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive prices side-by-side.
Tax-included price only: Shows only the tax-inclusive price and hides the tax-exclusive price.
Tax-excluded price only: Shows only the tax-exclusive price and hides the tax-inclusive price.
Primary price: Select which price appears larger/more prominent (Tax-excluded or Tax-included).
Custom Labels: Enter custom text to identify each price type (e.g.,
incl. VAT,excl. VAT, or+ Tax).Visual Styling: Set the secondary price font scale ratio (e.g.,
0.85) and pick custom text colors to match your theme.

Step 6: Choose Storefront Placement (Where it runs)
Check the boxes for all page types where this tax display rule should apply:
Home page

Product pages

Collection pages

Cart page

Search results

Step 7: Save and Verify
Click Save in the top right corner.
Visit your storefront (or use a test account with matching customer tags) to verify that the prices and tax labels render as expected.
How Tax Calculation Works
B2Bridge calculates price displays using tax rates synced from your store. Ensure your rates are synced under Tax rates so price calculations remain 100% accurate across all display locations.
