# Tax Display

Tax Display allows you to show prices with tax (tax-inclusive), without tax (tax-exclusive), or both across your Shopify storefront based on who is shopping and where they are located.

### Key Capabilities

* **Target Specific Customers:** Create rules for all customers, customers with specific tags (e.g., `wholesale`, `vip`), or specific customer emails.
* **Flexible Display Modes:** Display tax-inclusive price only, tax-exclusive price only, or both prices side-by-side with customizable labels and primary highlight options.
* **Specific Page Locations:** Choose where tax display rules apply (Home page, Product pages, Collection pages, Cart page, or Search results).
* **Product Targeting:** Apply rules to all products or select specific products and collections.

### How to Set Up Tax Display Rules

#### Step 1: Create a new rule

1. In your B2Bridge VAT/Tax Exemption & Display admin, go to **Tax display** in the left navigation (or **Tax display setup** button in dashboard).

2. Click **Create your first display rule**

#### Step 2: Configure General Info & Priority

1. **Rule Name:** Enter a clear, descriptive name for internal reference (e.g., *EU B2B Tax Rule* or *Wholesale Tax Excluded*).
2. **Priority:** Set the priority level for this rule using numbers (`0`, `1`, `2`...).
3. **Status:** Select the Rule enabled checkbox to make the rule active once saved.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: Lower numbers take precedence (e.g., priority `0` runs before priority `1`).
{% endhint %}

#### Step 3: Select Target Audience (Who sees it)

Choose which store visitors will see prices modified by this rule:

* **All customers:** Applies to every visitor on your store.

* **Customers with specific tags:** Enter specific customer tags (e.g., `b2b`, `wholesale`). Only logged-in customers with these tags will see this pricing format.

* **Specific customer emails:** Search and pick specific customer accounts.

#### Step 4: Select Products (Which products)

Define which catalog items follow this tax display rule:

* **All products:** Applies the rule across your entire store catalog.
* **Specific products / Collections:** Choose specific products or collections to limit where this rule takes effect.

#### Step 5: Configure Pricing Format (How prices show)

Customize how the prices are calculated and presented to your shoppers:

1. **Display mode:**
   * **Both prices (incl. + excl. tax):** Displays both the tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive prices side-by-side.
   * **Tax-included price only:** Shows only the tax-inclusive price and hides the tax-exclusive price.
   * **Tax-excluded price only:** Shows only the tax-exclusive price and hides the tax-inclusive price.
2. **Primary price:** Select which price appears larger/more prominent (*Tax-excluded* or *Tax-included*).
3. **Custom Labels:** Enter custom text to identify each price type (e.g., `incl. VAT`, `excl. VAT`, or `+ Tax`).
4. **Visual Styling:** Set the secondary price font scale ratio (e.g., `0.85`) and pick custom text colors to match your theme.

#### Step 7: Save and Verify

1. Click **Save** in the top right corner.
2. Visit your storefront (or use a test account with matching customer tags) to verify that the prices and tax labels render as expected.

### How Tax Calculation Works

B2Bridge calculates price displays using tax rates synced from your store. Ensure your rates are synced under **Tax rates** so price calculations remain 100% accurate across all display locations.
